PHILIPPINE SEA (March 15, 2017) Fire Controlman 1st Class Gary Rehm gives a demonstration with a LAP-9 laser dazzler aboard the forward-deployed Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) during a training exercise for Multisail 17. The bilateral training exercise is designed to improve interoperability between and Japanese forces. This exercise benefits from realistic, shared training enhancing our ability to work together to confront any contingency.
