The interior of the Thal Parish Church, also known as the Ernst Fuchs Church, is a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary design. The vibrant open roof structure, painted in rainbow colours, is reminiscent of the Israelites' tent in the desert, symbolising the covenant with Noah. Seventeen triangular skylights flood the space with natural light, enhancing the unique artistic elements. Outstanding features include two important paintings by Ernst Fuchs: "The Assumption of the Lord" and "The Calling to the Sea", both of which highlight scenes involving St James, the patron saint of the church. The interior is dominated by a crystal altar and a stained glass window depicting the Madonna.
