Pvt. J. E. Gibbon, S. C., took this photograph from an elevated point approximately 1 kilometer east of Beaumont, Ardennes ( Stensy) in December 1918. The panoramic view shows the area looking northeast towards Letonne, Ardennes, along the banks of the Meuse River. It is a captured terrain from the final phase of the Argonne-Meuse operation, which was taken by the 2nd Division, 5th Army Corps, 1st Army on November 5th, 1918, in Beaumont, Ardennes.
