Leigh on Sea, Essex, UK. 31st May, 2023. A special steam train is heading from Shoeburyness in Essex to Portsmouth Harbour in Hampshire to give its passengers the chance to visit the historic maritime port city. The train is being operated by Steam Dreams and hauled by LNER Thompson Class B1 number 61306 named Mayflower, resplendent in an Apple Green livery. The 1948-built locomotive is seen here at Leigh on Sea station
