Clay lamps lie discared in the in Kavla (Kavala) Caves in the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary of Karnataka, India. The cave is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus who worship Shiva. The busiest time of year is the annual Maha Shivarathri festical, during which the cave is lit with electric lights; otherwise it has no lights whatsoever.
