SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 14, 2017) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician 2nd Class Michael Winslow, assigned to EOD Mobile Unit 5, interacts with Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force sailors aboard the Izumo-class helicopter destroyer JS Izumo (DDH 183). EODMU-5 is embarked aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Navy forces and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force routinely train together to improve interoperability and readiness to provide stability and security for the Indo-Asia Pacific region.
