Hornbæk Church or Hornbaek Church, North Zealand, Denmark

Hornbæk or Hornbaek Church was not used in the same way as Gilleleje Church for the Jewish rescue operations to Sweden during WW2. Perhaps because the former hotel just opposite the fishing harbour, Hotel Trouville, just a few hundred metres from the church, was occupied by and housed German Nazi forces during the occupation. Images of Gilleleje Church and the attic, where the Jewish refugees were hidden before being ferried to Sweden to be found on Alamy as well.
