The Grey Plover passes the Kuriles, Japan, and tlie Loo-Choo Islands in some numbers on the spring and autumn migration. It was obtained by Dr. Henderson at Ilakodadi in October 1857 (Cassin, Proe. Acad. Nat. So. Philad. 1858, p. 195), and there are several examples in the Swinhoe collection from the same locality (Swinhoe, Ibis, 1875, p. 452). There are five examples in the Pryer collection from Yokohama, and one from the Loo-Choo Islands. It was obtained, doubtless near Nagasaki, by the Siebold Expedition.
