MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Dec. 26, 2014) - Damage Controlman 3rd Class Kendrick Cooper, originally from York, South Carolina, and stationed aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21), stows air hoses after a damage control exercise on the ship’s flight deck Dec. 26, 2014. New York, deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group/24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (IWO ARG/24MEU), is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
