Architectural design of this hall was b}'^ William Crockett. Design of the layout of a third paleontology hall, "The Age of Mammals," which will interpret the Tertiary mammals, was completed by Mrs. Ann Karras, exhibits designer, imder the scientific super- vision of curator C. Lewis Gazin. All exhibits were removed from this hall and the construction contract was awarded. Th(> exhibits in the hall of Pleistocene mammals (formerly the meteorite hall) were rearranged, some of the geological specimens were retired, and the Tertiary mammal skeletons removed from hall 5 were temporarily placed in the Pleistocene hall. The dinosaur hall has not been disturbed except to introduce a small number of the.
