LONDON, UK 25 March 2021. The rainbow flag symbol of the LGBT movement is flown over The Bank of England (The Old Lady) to commemorate Alan Turing, the World War II code breaker of the German Enigma machine at Bletchley Park who will feature in the design of its new 50-pound banknote. Alan Turing was later prosecuted in 1952 for engaging in homosexual acts and was retroactively pardoned in 2017.
