Demonstration supporting freetown Christiania, Denmark


Demonstration supporting Free town Christiania in Copenhagen, Denmark. Christiania re-opened its door for the public at the end of April 2011 after its three-day lockout. The end of the self-imposed isolation came as residents announced they had decided to enter into negotiations on a joint purchase of the state-owned property, the Copenhagen Post reported 30th April 2011. Christiania was created as a social experiment 1971 by a group of hippies and squatters.
