John Meserve (right) greet Aviation Boatswain's Mate 1st Class (handling) Steven Phakcnkham while touring the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Dronzeck served as the ship's secretary and ship handler of USS Iwo Jima (LPH-2) from 1963-1966 while Meserve served as the executive officer for Iwo Jima from 1984-1987.
