Pair of Pistol Holsters mid-18th century probably Italian or French Holsters of this type, each containing a single pistol, were attached at the front of the saddle, one on each side, giving the rider easy access to his weapons. The saddle and shabrack (saddle cloth) were sometimes made as a set with textile matching that of the Pair of Pistol Holsters 24819
