Meteorological Office headquarters at 63 Victoria Street, London, UK. Founded in 1854, the Meteorological Office was located here from 1869 to 1910. This artwork shows the street entrance at some point after 1889 when the address was renumbered from 116 to 63 Victoria Street. Hanging from the second-floor balconies are the weather reports for that day, for locations such as Yarmouth, Dover, the Scilly Isles, Holyhead, and Valencia. Now known as the Met Office, the headquarters moved various times within London, then to Bracknell in 1962, and to Exeter in 2003.
