The Albertina Palace was once hidden away at the Opera of the Hofburg complex. Today it is a distinctive modern landmark. Its raised entrance boasts a controversial freestanding diving-board roof designed by Hans Hollein. The albertina contains a huge collection of prints, water-colours,drawings and photographs.
