Washington State College, the winner of the Conference cham-pionship, was unquestionably the best basket ball organizationin the Northwest. They had everything that goes to make agood team, first class material, skilled in all of the tricks of thesplendid indoor game, and in addition to their basket ball science,they had the invaluable advantage of being bigger and stronger. In addition to physical advantages and a knowl-edge of the game, they had as their coach, J. Fred Bohler, oneof the most expert basket ball men in the country. Bohler hashad wide experience as a player and is able to teach the collegiategame thoroughly. Washington State played a clean, fast gameand is entitled to the splendid honors that they won during theseason. Whitman College, finishing second in the league, is entitled to■much credit. They had the advantage of a veteran team made upof exceptionally skillful players. They were wonderfully fastand played the collegiate game for all there was in it.
