Pig farming. Young pigs (Sus scrofa domestica) in a feeding area. Food is supplied in the green trays and water in the red trays. This area is where young pigs are weaned from their mother's milk onto solid food. The slatted floor helps keep the room clean. They will later be raised in finishing units before being slaughtered for their meat. These pigs are part of the Logierieve pig farm, in Udny, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is operated by Roderic Bruce, finalist in the 'Pig Farmer of the Year' category in the 2010 Farmers Weekly Awards.
