Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching about to vertex of head and broadly fringed with hair ia front, and behind towards extremity, the 3rd joint minute and birried in the hair of 2nd joint, the extremity of the palpi appearing to be rounded ; frons smooth; eyes large, round; antennee of male with cilia and bristles; thorax clothed almost entirely with scales and without crests; fore tibiae of male dilated and hollowed out forining a double chamber divided by a membranous wall, and clothed with long hair, the mid tibia fringed with long hair, the hind tibiae smoothly scaled; abdomen without crests. Fore wing with the apex rounded, the termen evenly curved and slightly crenulate; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of ceil; 6 from upper angle; 9 and 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole ; 11 from cell.
