Athene Cunicularia; Burrowing Owl. Native to both North and South American grasslands, agricultural areas and deserts. Both nesting and roosting in burrows often made by Prairie most Owls it is active during the cooler parts of the day .As with all owls its disc like face and forward facing eyes enhance their sight and vision.
