"Goldener Ring" is the oldest brewery in Düsseldorf, est. in 1536. Location: Burgplatz in the popular tourist area of Old Town near Rhine river.

At the time when the building was originally erected, streets did not have names, nor did houses or buildings have numbers. The houses got individual names in those days. This building got the name "Goldener Ring". It was destroyed and had to be rebuilt after WW II.
