There were seldom less than fifteen men outand often thirty-five to forty sparcely clad individuals could beseen raiding a turnip patch or orchard. A large part of thesuccess of the season was due to Athletic Director Nicol, whogave the club his assistance at all times. The season ended November 27, with a handicap race over a 4^-mile course through fields and wo,ids and over diiAbout 18 men started from the comer of Stuart Fielda circuit to the n,.rlh and west, finished on Stuart Fieldof the grandstand
