They are exquisite indrawing (note particularly the hands), some areviolent in action, all are full of beautv and showimmense deal of study. One queries if such detailof form could be seen when the figures are in whirl-ing motion. At one end of that small room which for yearshas shown the New York public such unusual andinteresting exhibitions, are hung a set of litho-graphs by Albert Sterner. The centre is occupiedby the well-known Amour Mort, one of his mostsuccessful drawings. Near by the marvellous por-trait-study of Mr. Birnbaum, Herbert Baer is rep-resented by studies of birds done in coloured printsfrom wooden blocks, which are the outcome ofmany studies made in the Zoological Gardens atthe Bronx. Prominent here are colour prints offlowers by Edna Boies Hopkins, engraved on woodand printed by hand. These are exceedinglybeautiful and indicate a great power of selectionand a strong colour sense.
