Minot, Milton Hill, Constant Devred, Mme. Geisslcr and Mme. Emile Galle. For twelve singles, T. C. Thurlow's Sons had nice flowers of Jesse, King of England, White Lady, Mikado, Dog Rose, Sophia Hunter, Purity, Dragon and several seedlings under number. Some remarkably fine flowers were shown in the amateur classes by John Morris, gardener for Robert C. Morse, and Wilton B. Fay. Henry Stewart had a large display of hardy roses and sweet Williams; the Walter Hunnewell estate, of which F. A. Hatfield is super- intendent, a large display of roses; A. L. Stephen, excellent hardy roses, and Hillcrest Gardens, a general display of flowers, strawberries, cherries and vegetables. Various Notes. The annual show and convention of the American Sweet Pea Society will be held at Horticultural hall, Boston, June 24 and 25, in connection with the rose and strawberry show of the Mas- sachusetts Horticultural Society. The season has been a most one, and it is feared the week of tropical heat, hail storms and later cold and unfavor- able weather will reduce the number of exhibits. However, an interesting show is looked for. In connection with the show, Dr. Robert
