OBSERVATIONS. This is one of the numerous modern generaof Papilionides, that are eminently remarkableby the feeble, abbreviated, and incomplete ante-rior feet of the species of which they are com-posed. These feet are usually so short, as to bealtogether useless for the purpose of locomotion;they are habitually applied against the breast, PLATE XXIII. and are altogether destitute of nails.
