The general plan of this volume and the stan-dards of space measurements for playgroundpurposes were worked out by Mr, RowlandHaynes. The arrangement of the material andthe actual writing of the volume were done byMr. Stanley P. Davies. In the course of thepreparation of the material each playground andcommunity center was examined from the stand-point of a practical administrator by Mr. HaroldBerg, who prepared, upon the basis of his investi-gations, the suggestions for further develop-ment of these agencies.
