New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania come together at Carpenters Point between the Delaware and Neversink Rivers. Unless you have a boat, the only way to get here is by walking through Laurel Grove Cemetery and under Interstate 84 in Port Jervis, NY. Tri-State Rock was placed here in 1882 to replace the original rock erected in 1774. In 1773, King George III approved the final border between New York and New Jersey as a resolution to the New York – New Jersey Line War. Around when I took this photo, I was the most northern person in New Jersey, which made me the most powerful person in the but that power seems to only exist right there so I shot a few more photos and went home.
