High Reading on Carbon Monoxide Detector

Normal carbon monoxide (CO) in the atmosphere is generally 0-5 ppm. Osha standards say that the carbon monoxide content in any enclosed space shall not exceed 50 parts per million (ppm) as an average over an eight hour period. If levels are in the 10-50 range for longer than 8 hours, the space should be evacuated, ventilated, and examined. Exposure to levels greater than 100ppm are hazardous to human health and should be evacuated immediately. The reading shown here is 105, which falls in the hazardous range.
