Adenoids are sometimes thought of as a cause of the mouth breath-ing; but this is due to narrowing of the nasopharyngeal vault pro-duced by anteroposterior narrowing of the skull and prominence ofthe upper cervical vertebrae, all of which can readily be appreciatedby making an examination for adenoids.
