The Bracklinn Falls, Callander, the Trossachs, Scotland
The Bracklinn Falls, in addition to being very beautiful, are a site of great geological interest as they lie within two miles of the Highland boundary Fault . This geological feature runs from the Isle of Arran in the South west to Stonehaven in the North East and has profound effects on the land and scenery of Scotland. The Gorge with the falls has probably been formed or enhanced when great Glaziers melted and retreated at the end of the last ice age- a geodiversity trail or walk has been set up to explain and illustrate this interesting area of great natural beauty.
