Spotted Lanternfly


Spotted lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula) adult in Pennsylvania, on July 20, 2018. The spotted lanternfly is native to China and was first detected in Pennsylvania in 2014. It has since spread to several nearby states. It has the potential to become a major agricultural pest, feeding on the sap of a wide range of fruit, ornamental, and woody trees.
