Gerswalde Evangelical Village Church. Historic Stone church with tower first built about 1250 in Uckermark, Brandenburg, Germany The building was enlarged in the 15th century. The tower was destroyed by lightning in 1743 and in 1808 the church was again struck by lightning and was completely destroyed. It was rebuilt and re-consecrated in 1817. Special features of the church include a newly restored Ernst and Wilhelm Sauer organ, the sundial on the southwest corner and the checkerboard in the west gable above the portal.
