Farmers with livestock have always supplemented feed for their animals with hay from the stacks or hayricks are no longer constructed the dried hay is now bagged in plastic or deposited in silos and stored on the farm, methods which ensure a ready supply of feed for winter months that are often harsh in Lincolnshire and other northern parts of the Country.
