Detroit, Michigan USA - 8 February 2024 - Michigan Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist spent an hour as a server at Yum Village restaurant to promote the campaign for One Fair Wage. Before serving, Gilchrist (left), Yum Village founder Godwin Ihentuge, and OFW Organizing Director Justin Onwenu talked about the importance of fair wages for restaurant workers. One Fair Wage works for a living minimum wage for all and the elimination of the sub-minimum wage for tipped workers. The endorsement of Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who stopped by earlier, is on the blackboard at right.
