Traditional flower market (Lille-Flanders-France) during the week end before May 1st Labour Day


Lille (Rijsel in Flemish language) is the regional capital of the Flanders, located in northern France. The proud belfry of the CCI (Industrial and Trade Chamber) is the main spot of the center of this commercial, active and laborious city. Many pleasant terrasses are along the Charles de Gaulle Place, also nicknamed by the natives : Grand'Place (Main Place). Lille is also at the center of the London-Paris-Brussels High Speed Train (Eurostar) network system. The traditional annual flower market is well-known and very appreciated by everybody ! The column, with the famous statue of "the Déesse (Godness) that is the symbol of the city celebrates the attack of the Austrian troups against the young French Revolution (1792).
