His carnations, which are his principal crop, are fine. He grows Mrs. Ward, Matchless, Alice and Supreme. Fine Jeanne Nonin and Patty mums were seen. Early mums were a successful and profitable crop at this place. Some choice red gladioli in bloom were a novelty for mid-Novem- ber. Mignonette, calendulas and stocks are grown well. Jacob H.
