Barclay, Curle and Co Ltd former shipbuilders and large disused Titan Crane on the banks of the River Clyde Glasgow Scotland. The company was acquired in 1912 by Swan Hunter. This building was built in 1913 and was influenced by Peter Behrens' AEG turbine factory in Berlin. It became know as the North British Diesel Engine Works and the Titan Crane was erected in 1920 by Sir William Arrol & Co. The Swan Hunter owned Barclay Curle ceased building ships in its Clydeholm Shipyard at Whiteinch, Glasgow in 1968 was acquired by Yarrow Shipbuilders in 1974.
