The chronology ofwhat goes before is purely conjectural, and dependson the estimates made of the gaps and uncertaintime-elements, that persistently remain such. All that is possible at present is to reconstructsuch periods (longer oa shorter) as can be fairlywell recovered from the monuments, and to waitpatiently for further finds, that may serve toconnect these together.
