The names of the decorative artistsassociated with this institution deserve to beremembered. They are Barshchevski, Beketoff,Maliutin, Michonoff, and Zinovieff. The works of art purchased by the State eachyear are submitted to the inspection of theParisian public in a large exhibition held at theEcole des Beaux - Arts. Most of them havealready been seen elsewhere, only those com-missioned by the Government being occasion-ally new to the public, as was the case withthe plafond executed by M.
