This big truck is a genuine Peterbilt 359 aluminium bonnet and cab with a Big block 454ci cubic inch or litre Chevrolet V8 engine and a General Motors TH-400, 3 speed automatic gearbox with a military transfer case offering 2 or 4wd wheel drive and high low ranges. It has Power front steering with independent electronically controlled rear steering and Pettibone mobile crane axles 50 tonne rating. Suspension is with heavy duty leaf springs with 5 Shockers and a Michelin Mega X tyres per corner.
