Cocos Weddeliana. LIVISTONA ROTUN DI FOLIA. A miniature Fan-leaf palm, somewhat re- sembling Latania Borbonica, but very much more dwarf and compact in habit, and having much smaller and handsomer leaves, which are of the most perfect shape. The leaves are circular in form, only about eight to ten inches in diameter, and deeply toothed. Very small plants throw up an unusual num- ber of these beautiful leaves, furnishing and finishing the plant, making very perfect specimens when only a foot high,—plants of this height having as many as a dozen well developed, perfect leaves. It makes a lovely plant for table decoration. No palm makes such perfect specimens when small, so it has a distinct place among decorative plants, and is a charming addition to the limited number of plants really adapted for house decoration. Very scarce and rare. Price, Strong plants in G-in. pots, about 1 ft. high, $ each; larger plants, about 1J4 ft. high, § each. These are the most satisfactory palms for house decoration, as they are very hardy and are not easily affected by change of temperature. They are not so graceful in habit as Areeas, but on account of their hardiness and ability to withstand unfavorable conditions, are more largely grown, probably, than all other palms put together. Belmoreana. — Grows shorter, more compact and spreading than Forsteriana; makes very graceful, perfect / specimens, and is more desirable, particularly- in the smaller sizes. Price. Plants in 4-in. pots, 1J4 ft. high. 75c each; 5-in. pots, 114 ft. high, § each ; 6-in. pots, 2 ft. high, § each; 7-in. pots, 2)4 ft. high, § each; 8-in. pots, 3 to 3)4 ft. high, § each.
