Blue rattlesnake (Crotalaria verrucosa) plant. Artwork drawn by the Scottish artist Sydney Parkinson during Captain James Cook's first voyage (1768-1771). Parkinson made close to 1000 drawings of specimens collected during the voyage, but died at sea in January 1771 on the return home. This item is part of the collections held at the Botany Library of the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
