Dudden is a small hamlet two miles from Utkinton andin the direction of Tarvin, whereis a fine old Church in whichparish registers are entries ofthe Dones of Dudden as well asa tablet in the church to thesame. Of the old hall of Dud-den, their former residence, oneinteresting old gable yet re-mains. Of Flax-yards, the housenow turned into a farm-house,still carries with it an imposingformality with its many win-dowed front, its dark-tonedbrick and stone facings. I
