Fishing boat shipwreck on Diabeg beach, Wester Ross SCO 2301

This remote village is situated on the west coast of Ross and Cromarty. It comprises a few buildings at Upper Diabaig and the little settlement of Lower Diabaig on the shore of a loch of the same name, a bay off Loch Torridon. Diabaig from the Norse "deep bay" is situated on the border of the parishes of Applecross and Gairloch. The single track road to Diabaig from the village of Torridon, eight miles away, passes through some of the wildest and most beautiful scenery in Scotland. SCO 2301
