Twoyears later he purcha^ied and moved on to thefarm now owned liy the heirs of Walter Pender-gast which he ocjupied until 1859 when hemoved over the river int<i the village of Phtenix,and conducted a store until, in 1801, when hewent to East Saginaw, Mich., to take charge ofthe mill and lumlier business of E.
