Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, November 8, 2018 – A Navy Landing Craft Utility approaches the USS Ashland to retrieve another load of heavy equipment vehicles to transport to the island of Saipan after Super Typhoon Yutu made landfall, damaging hundreds of homes and leaving many residents without shelter, food, or access to clean water. Per FEMA’s request, the military has been deployed to Saipan along with other federal and voluntary agencies to provide assistance to disaster survivors in the community. Grace Simoneau/FEMA
