It does especially well for second early in the south. ^ Country Gentleman, This is the finest of the medium early ^'varieties. The rows are zig-zag, with a long- slender kernel of delicious flavor. This corn is bound to sell when properly known, as its quality is the best of all. „^ Kendall's Early (xiant. A valuable new early sweet corn. The ears grow to a tremendous size, measuring eight to ten inches long", and having" ten to eighteen rows on each cob, the majority having- twelve rows: kernels pure white; sweet, tender. Zigzag" Evergreen. This tine new strain possesses the distinct 4^aracteristics which have made Stowell's Evergreen so de- servedly the favorite for main crop, but produces ears fit to use from one week to ten days earlier. The stalks are not so tall and rather more slender in growth, each bearing one or two good, large ears. While about one-third smaller, the ears are of typical Stowell's type and of the same fine quality; they measure seven inches in length, rather thick, with twelve or more rows of handsome larg-e grains. It fills the period of maturity between Crosby's Early and the reg'ular Stowell's Evergreen. j^j^ra Colony. This variety is two weeks earlier than the Ever- green, and almost as larg-e. It is considered the best and sweetest by canning factories. A fine paying variety for market. Hickox Hybrid. Earlier than Stowell's Evergreen, and makes a large, attractive ear of very white and handsome grain. It is
