The 2014 Odesa clashes were a series of conflicts between pro-Maidan and anti-Maidan demonstrators that occurred in the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa in 2014, following the Revolution of Dignity. The violence intensified on May 2 when a pro-Maidan demonstration was attacked by anti-Maidan activists. the events resulted in deaths of 48 people, 46 of them were anti-Maidan activists. 42 of the victims died in the Trade Unions House fire, and 200 were injured. In 2021 about 1,200 participants took part in the March of the city's defenders. After honoring the memory of the dead with a minute of silence, representatives of the patriotic forces of the city, including ATO veterans, activists of the National Corps, Svoboda and other organizations, went in a column under state flags along the central streets of towards the monument to Taras Shevchenko.
