The corolla is some- what peculiar. It has somewhat the ap- pearance of a wide open mouth, and is known as a lut the single style and the two-lobed stigma will warn you against this supposition. The ovary really consists of tiro carpels, each of two deep lobes, and, as the seeds ripen, these lobes form four little nutlets (Fig. 00), each contain- ':/ ing a single seed, Fig. 59, I s "I. 9. I.
