Curzon Street, Birmingham, 21st August - Work continues on HS2 in Birmingham as the Curzon Street terminus is built. Four of the 8 tracks that are being built are set to become redundant after the government dropped further routes of the line. HS2 said it would be cheaper for them to build the tracks than to not. The four unused platforms will be left empty, without rails or signalling, to avoid unnecessary costs in making them operational. Credit: Stop Press Media/Alamy Live News
